..."there before the course was built",,,so cool. It looks to be an AMERICAN ELM(size, shape)....they must have treated this tree back in the 70's(or many several times) to prevent its demise from DUTCH ELM DISEASE. Faldo starting giving us a great description and then the other idiot interrupted him and kinda hinted he was just babbling...he wasn't...BUT, he said they were "Dutch elm trees"...am sure this is a treated(or immune) American Elm.
