JB Holmes, the overnight leader after a first round in which Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods flopped to put their chances of making the weekend at risk, has extended his lead in the second round.
McIlroy, who shot 79, made eight on the first and seven on the last while Woods never looked comfortable as he shot 78.
