Are there any statistics compiled on how a golfer's playing partners fare relative to the field?

For example, if the average score for a round of golf in a given day is 68, and a golfer's playing partner shoots a 70, his playing partner that day would be +2 strokes relative to the field. In a single round, or in a single tournament, that really wouldn't mean much, but over a long enough timeline, you might be able to get a sense of which golfers tend to bring out the best in their playing partner and which golfers tend to bring out the worst.
