I'm sorry, but I think the USGA has screwed the pooch again with a penalty. It is clear that Anna Nordqvist brushed the sand and should've been assessed a penalty, but why tell her AFTER she hits her approach shot on 18 and BEFORE Lang hits her approach shot?
Just complete bullshit.
If the USGA is going to use the high resolution cameras to assess penalties, then they need to figure out a way to make sure they're not mind-fucking the golfers. Had Nordqvist known she was two down, her strategy on 18 would've been completely different. And telling Lang about the penalty BEFORE her third shot on 18 gave her a marked advanatge.
You fucked up (again) USGA.
