In watching guys like Zach Johnson and Jason Day, among others, who have a LOT of different sponsors on their clothing, I'm oddly curious about the process.
Let's take Jason Day - his shirts are made by Adidas, got it. Who then sews on the RBC logo? The Concur logo? Does each company have a review process? How do they ensure the color of the shirt doesn't make their logo look horrible? I know they pay for placement (the collar is worth X, the breast is worth Y, etc.) but are there other areas where they get a say?
I think the PGA tour has done a good job of moderating the amount of logos but I do wonder about this process. It seems like each company should be involved so that Day doesn't pull on a shirt one morning that just randomly is missing one of his corporate logos. Easy for him to not notice that, right?
