I live near two Mackenzie courses, one open to the public and one extremely private. What are r/progolf's thoughts on extremely private courses? Is it morally right to play a golf club that excludes races, sometimes gender and most all the time the poor.
I go back and forth on this issue. I recognize the club's right to do what it wants, but also believe that its members as elite as they are should want to include everyone and treat all equally. They seem to want everyone to "desire" their golf club, but then won't let them play it. Some elite clubs that take pride in exclusion and then want to host the US Open
